In order to secure a property, we ask all tenants to submit details for credit and reference checking. If you’re unable to supply enough detail, or there is any other problem, you may be asked to supply a guarantor, who will also need to pass referencing. A guarantor is a third party who agrees to accept the tenants’ responsibilities (financial and otherwise), and is usually a trusted family member, close friend or employer. Having a guarantor offers the property’s landlord some peace of mind and security, that if the tenant was unable to meet their obligations for any reason, there would be an additional party to resolve the matter with.
